The Acts of Chapter and Directions at our General Chapter set before us the way forward as a Congregation. We committed ourselves to being truly witnesses/signs of God’s LOVE and MERCY where we are.
We recognize the brokenness around us in the Church and in the World.
We are committed to create an awareness of issues of injustice and be a voice for the voiceless.
Our Vowed Way of Life is a call to counter these trends individually, together and with our Associates in Mercy and join our voices to those of other Faiths and Cultures.
“This is what Yahweh asks of you: only this, to act justly, to love tenderly and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah: 6:8
“There are things which the poor prize more highly than gold, though they cost the donor nothing. Among these are the kind word, the gentle compassionate look and the patient hearing of sorrows.” Catherine McAuley
Today, our call is about Service to those in need.
In her time, Venerable Catherine McAuley tried to redress injustices, whether spiritual, material, social or cultural. She would urge us to do the same. The need for mercy and compassion is more than evident today and we continue to seek new and creative ways of expressing it together.
