July Reflection 2016

  The Value of One

The number one can seem insignificant. Imagine 1 sheep out of 100. One seems like very little in the grand scheme of things. But just think of one positive remark, one well executed task, one precious new life, one person at a time. One, can make a tremendous difference for good.

“When I met Pope Francis, I felt I was the most important person in his life for those few minutes.  He was totally focused on me”

A Pilgrim

"If we wish to sow the seeds of real hope in our world, I think Catherine Mc Auley would say: This is the way we must do it – one person at a time: one answering of the figurative doorbell, one opening of the figurative door, one embrace of the stranger, one welcoming of the other, one sharing of our bread and milk – one person at a time.”
